Regional Executive Director
Dr. Jim Beaird pastored for thirty years prior to becoming the Executive Director for the Southeast Region of Open Bible Churches in 2002. His passion is church planting and leadership development. He has authored two books on personal leadership development: The Proximity Factor: Essential Disciplines in a Leader's Spiritual Formation and The Providence Factor: When God Shapes a World-Changer.
He teaches seminars to leaders and churches ready to maximize personal and corporate spiritual growth. He currently heads the Master's of Arts in Christian Ministry at New Hope Christian College in Eugene, Oregon. He and his wife, Kris, have three married sons. They reside in the Tampa Bay area and together enjoy the beach, target shooting, and walking.

Kris plays a vital role in the over-all operation of the region in everything from day-to-day office management to the planning of regional events. She holds a Master’s degree in Church Ministries and Leadership from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.
Contact Rev. Dwight Rodgers
Central Florida District Director
Rev. Dwight Rodgers is the lead pastor of Hope Church in Largo, Florida. He is a consistent and passionate leader. He and his wife of over 25 years, Jeanne, are a vibrant Pastoral team that work together to encourage and equip the people with which they interact every week. They have been pastoring together in Florida since 1990.
Pastor Rodgers received his Masters of Arts degree in Church Ministries from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and has over 25 years in full-time ministry experience. This gives him the platform to continually pursue his God-given passion to train, develop, and disciple effective and relevant leaders for this culture. Pastor Rodgers is also an author and Certified Health Coach. He and his wife have successfully raised three grown sons.

South Florida District Director
Rev. Karl A. Francis, senior pastor of Living Word Open Bible Church, Cooper City, Florida, is a dynamic man of God, with a passion for God, a love for prayer and a deep burden for the lost. He has been involved in pastoral ministry for over 25 years. Rev. Francis and his wife, Dyrie, have two sons.
A 1977 graduate of Jamaica Open Bible Institute, he currently pastors Living Word Open Bible Church which he pioneered in 1993. Rev. Francis is by training an engineer and banker, with a Master's degree in Finance. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Ministry at Tyndale Theological Seminary, Texas. He served on community agencies such as the Advisory Board for Fannie Mae (Miami Dade County), National Affordable Housing Corporation and currently serves on the Board of Miami-Dade Neighborhood Housing Corp.

North District Director
Max Tyus pastors Community Christian Assembly, an Open Bible Church, in Pierson, Florida. Max and his wife, Regina, have one daughter Tyla. The Tyus' moved to Pierson in 1997 after being called to pastor the church, and have remained as pastor until the present. Max has previously served the Southeast Region as an At Large Representative to the National Board. Max serves his local community through his leadership as Chairmen of the School Advisory Council and board member for the Pierson Medical Center.
Max received his undergraduate degree from North Central University. He is a recent graduate of the inaugural Church Life Resources cohort, receiving a
Masters of Arts degree in Church Ministries from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. His greatest ministry passions are to encourage and develop church leaders, and to see the Spirit filled church function at its highest level.

East Sector Leader of National Hispanic Ministries
Rev. Raul Escalante is the East Sector Leader of the National Hispanic Ministries. He represents the Central, East, and Southeast Regions of Hispanic Ministries. Raul is lead pastor of First Spanish Open Bible Church in Sunrise, Florida, and is a member of the Southeast Region board of directors. He and his wife, Dora, who is also credentialed and serves as associate pastor of Sunrise, are originally from El Salvador. Both accepted Jesus as Savior in 1979 at the Open Bible church in Hialeah, Florida. A 1993 graduate of Inste Bible College, Raul has served as an INSTE (Institute of Theology by Extension) facilitator since 1995.

Regionally Appointed Member to the National Board
Pastor Deodath Mathai and his wife Jean pastor New Horizon Worship Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Deodath holds a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and oversees the school located in their church. They have two sons, Jordan and Jonathan. Rev. Mathai is the Regionally Appointed Member (RAM) to the national board of Open Bible Churches and serves on the Southeast Region board as well.
